Loss Prevention Management Institute

The Loss Prevention Management Institute (LPMI) at the Hilton College was developed in response to the growing need within the hospitality industry for addressing matters of safety. LPMI’s comprehensive study of loss prevention explores issues of fire protection, security, crisis management, disaster preparedness, mitigation and recovery, crisis communications management, insurance and violence in the workplace.

Director of Institute Retires

On January 15, 2008, after 52 years of service to the hospitality industry, Ray Ellis, who served as the director of LPMI and a faculty member since 1994, retired. At this time, LPMI has no forward projects. However, we are making the Loss Prevention Management Bulletins, written by Mr. Ellis, available to you through this website.
