UHAA 58th Annual Awards Gala

Congratulations to our own Dorothy Nicholson ('77) who is one of five UH alums being awarded with the Distinguished Alumni Award—the highest honor given by the University of Houston Alumni Association. Along with Dorothy, actors Dennis Quaid, Robert Wuhl (two Emmy Awards), Brett Cullen (West Wing & Lost) and Lt. General Robert Milstead will also be receiving this prestigious award. If you'd like to cheer on Dorothy on her special night while supporting UHAA, tickets are $200 and tables start at $3,500. Mini Career Fair

Placement Services is hosting a "Mini Career Fair" for students seeking jobs or summer internships. Several hospitality recruiters will be set up on the first floor of the South Lobby (in front of classroom S104) to discuss opportunities with their companies. Par Excellence: Petites Graduation
Conrad Hilton Ballroom | 4/30/2012, 7 p.m.
Join Par Excellence, Hilton College's student-run hospitality-staffing honors organization, as it inducts its newest members. The "petites" receive their tuxedo jackets with tails and become full-fledged "penguins" at a special graduation ceremony. The petites also plan and execute the evening's reception and dinner. This year's theme is Fire & Ice. Faculty and staff are invited to the event, as well as family, friends and students who RSVP. Attire is semi-formal.
