$12 Million Hotel Renovation Sparks Exciting Developments at Hilton College

The Hilton University of Houston Hotel and Conference Center is getting a facelift. A $12 million facelift! Through a consulting services agreement with Hilton Hotels, the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management is redeveloping the existing hotel property into a state-of-the-art hotel and conference center that, upon completion, will provide hospitality students studying at the top-ranked College with a new training facility and enhanced experiential learning program second to none.

The Business of Wine and Spirits Offered in New Hilton College Minor

In response to industry needs, the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management will offer coursework for those interested in the business of wine and spirits. The new Beverage Management and Marketing minor will be available to students of all majors beginning in fall 2008.

2008 Gourmet Night Under The Spell Of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’

While internships usually are coveted by students hoping to gain experience and pad resumes, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts awards two, highly-selective faculty internships every year. One of 2007’s recipients was JéAnna Abbott, Spec’s Charitable Foundation Professor in Social Responsibility at the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management.

College Receives Historic Alumni Gift

The Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston has announced the receipt of the largest gift ever presented to the college from a source other than the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation.
