Student Organizations at the Hilton College

By joining one or more of our student organizations, you just may meet valuable industry contacts and form lifelong friendships in the process. Mary Douglas, director of Placement Services and “advisor” to the advisors, is surrounded by student officers representing each of our 14 student organizations. Won’t you join them?

There is a sense of community on our campus that is uniquely Hilton College—you feel it the moment you pass through our doors. Whether you are from across town or across the world, there is a warmth and inclusivity here that makes everyone feel instantly welcome. Part of this community feeling comes from the camaraderie fostered by our multi-faceted student organizations.

Whether your interests lie in catering, finance, club management, or hotels and restaurants, the Hilton College offers a varied “menu” of organizations to suit every taste and interest. In a sense, we even have Mickey Mouse on our team!

All of our student organizations are involved in community service projects within the hospitality industry and members participate in fundraising initiatives, as well. From bake sales to golf tournaments, these fundraisers generate scholarship dollars for student participation in national and international conferences and tradeshows. And then there’s the added benefit of social opportunities. We guarantee that membership will help you to form lasting friendships.

Past experience tells us that you will make invaluable professional contacts who can often help you find your first job. Discounted student membership fees are also available for local chapters of national professional organizations. Talk to the faculty advisor or the student officers of each organization to learn more.
