Through the Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor, Hilton College recognizes industry leaders who have made extraordinary contributions to business and society. Not only do these Hall of Honor inductees serve as exemplary role models for students, but the induction ceremony and events of Hospitality Hall of Honor Week also give you an extraordinary opportunity to build your leadership skills by managing a real-world event.
Led by a student general manager who directs a student board of directors, the logistics for the reception, ceremony and dinner, as well as a series of industry-related "Think Tanks," are planned, coordinated and executed by students who are mentored by faculty and staff. Student leaders also are invited to attend the Dean's VIP dinner for past inductees and other distinguished guests the night before the induction ceremony, giving them another opportunity to network with high-achieving industry leaders. During these events, the motto of Hospitality Hall of Honor—Education through Leadership—has never been more fitting.
If you'd like to be considered for a position on the next student board of directors for Hospitality Hall of Honor, interviews are conducted at the end of each fall semester. You also will receive elective course credit if you are named to a position. Participation in this annual event offers you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to personally meet and network with the giants of the hospitality business. And you never know who the next inductees will be or what kind of career opportunities will arise as a result!
