Our Degree Programs

BS Hotel & Restaurant Management

A business-minded major.

With a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Hilton College, one of the world's top hospitality programs, the hospitality industry is yours to conquer.

This specialized business education prepares you for leadership roles in the creative, people-centered hospitality industry. Traditional business courses in accounting, economics and law are complemented by social sciences, hospitality marketing, human resources and communications, giving you a solid foundation required for any number of hospitality specialties.

You'll also choose an area of emphasis to create a degree plan that focuses on the sector of hospitality that interests you most. And if you are thinking about pursuing a career in the wine and spirits industry, we offer a minor in beverage management and marketing.

Because our program is based on "experiential learning," you must have industry experience if you hope to successfully lead, manage or direct. Therefore, gaining industry experience also is an important part of our degree requirements. All undergraduates must complete Hospitality Practicum I and II—300 hours of work experience in two distinct areas of hospitality for a minimum of 600 total industry-related hours. These practicum hours provide a great opportunity to explore different facets of the industry, expand your knowledge and discover your ideal career path. On campus or off campus, part time or full time, job or internship, you can choose the work experience that best suits your schedule and interests.

With this degree in hand, you'll have a wealth of career options both here and abroad and will be well-prepared for post-graduate studies if you choose to continue your education. Additionally, our faculty brings significant industry experience to the classroom, adding a unique dimension that you just won't find with a general business education.

With a BS from Hilton College, you'll be ready to pursue any hospitality-related career path you choose with an education that's second to none.
